Arrivals and Departures

A digital installation proposal for Terminal C in Newark airport, which displays live flight tracking data of incoming and outgoing traffic from the airport across 27 LCD screens. The installation seeks to remind the travelers in Newark airport of the beauty of global connectivity.

Borrowing design elements from the surrounding architecture in structure and in form, the flat PLANAR Clarity Matrix Screens soar across the footpath leading towards the terminal gates. Shown in the renderings is a video still from the animated graphic which would is displayed across the 27 screens. Depicting real-time data of the latest incoming and outgoing flights from Newark International Airport. Live weather patterns seen as blue pixelated fluid particles, inspired by the software Processing which I experimented with during this project.
